Netmonitor 5
Any referring URL that cannot be classified in one of the previous categories (Search Engine, Social media, etc.) will appears here. This section can show visits from, for example:
This is the default view of the Links and banners section, it displays from which websites your site receives the most traffic. Websites are displayed by their domain name only. For example, two visits from “http://www.example.fi/about” and “http://www.example.fi/help”, will be grouped and displayed under the same row “example.fi”. You can also have a list view of the specific address with the “Complete addresses” section (see below).
In some cases, you might want Netmonitor to ignore certain referring domains. For example, you might want to ignore your own site(s), or test pages that you created, because you think it doesn't make sense. You can set a list of domains which Netmonitor will ignore and not display in this section. The visit data will not be ignored though, instead Netmonitor will consider visits from ignored referrers as “direct hits” (= no referrer). To do so:
Note that this will apply for any further visits, but not for visits already processed by Netmonitor. Hence you might only see the results after one day.
This section ranks the specific referring pages, no matter what domain the page belongs to.
When you click on a domain, the domain details page is displayed. It contains two sub-pages: Pages and Evolution.
When you click on a specific page name in the Links and banners section, for instance under Complete addresses page, you will see the evolution of that specific page.
Netmonitor allows for domain grouping, for instance if you wish to separate “partner sites”, traffic from paid links and other link back.
This section requires that you create groups, and move referring domains to them manually. By default there is only an entry called 'No group'. See the “How to” topic below for more info on how to manage groups.
Each group name can be clicked to view the content of it. This view is identical to the “Display by domain”, except that it's limited to only show domains belonging to the group.
To create a group for domains navigate to the “Display in groups” page. Then,
Your new group will now display in the list of groups. To start with the group is empty. See the Add a domain to a group below, for more info on adding domains to groups.
The name and color of a group can easily be changed in a few easy steps.
In order to delete a group, follow the instructions for editing above. In the edit form at the bottom of pop-up you will find a link to delete the group.
To group a domain go to the “Display by domain” page (default view for links and banner). To add a domain to a group:
