The date picker

Introduction

Netmonitor 5 allows you to look at the statistics of your website for any given time period. By default, Netmonitor will display the current day. But you might want to look at longer time period, for example one week, one month, or more. You might also want to look at a past time period (for example a complete past month), and compare it with some other time period (for example, compare this month with the same month last year).

Selecting a time period

The date picker will display 3 calendars: one for the first date of your time period, one for the last date, and one for the comparison period (see below).

  1. In every page of Netmonitor that supports date, you can click on the date displayed on top of the page to open the date picker.
  2. You can select the desired start date either by selecting the date in the calendar, or by entering the date manually. The date format will vary depending on your regional settings and which country your are from.
  3. Do the same with the end date
  4. Validate your selection by clicking on the “Apply date filters” icon.

Selecting granularity

You can select whether your want to see statistics aggregated by:

  • day
  • week
  • month

Daily statistics are especially good for smaller time period, whereas weekly and monthly statistics will give your a better view of the evolution of your website over a longer time period.

Predefined time periods

On the left part of the date picker, you will find a set of predefined time periods:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Current week: from the first day of the week until today
  • Current month: from the first day of the month until today
  • Current year: from the first day of the year until today
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 14 days
  • Last 31 days

Just click on the desired link to activate this time period.

To activate comparison:
